On the crochet front, having finished my bag on Monday, I then somehow managed to accidentally start on the Granny Stripe blanket! :oP
This pic was a couple of days ago... I am now 4 stripes further on. And it's just looking so pretty and stripity! (sp?!!)
I just wish I could crochet it faster- but my hands will only let me do one row, maybe one stripe in one sitting.
Since starting reading the Attic24 blog, one thing I try to do is keep a vase of colourful flowers on my living room windowsill.
These caught my eye in Tescos on Friday-
The back of the house starts to look really pretty at this time of year...
The virginia creeper turns such lovely shades of red- just before all the leaves fall off and make a mess everywhere!
Yesterday we managed to squeeze in a trip to Thetford Forest.I love to visit every autumn at least once- to walk through the crunchy leaves, to search for pretty toadstools to photo... and to generally mess around with the family.
It was a gorgeous day- with clear skies it was lovely and warm.Every fallen tree had to be walked along.
Under one large tree were two rope swings... they were great fun!
James and the kiddies also made a den under the same tree- under there was beautiful, in the dappled sunshine it really had a magical feel.
Whilst walking around with camera in hand- I found this!
How fantsatic?! I was so thrilled to find a real life red spotty toadstool!
and then- just as we were about to leave- we found this...
... and this!
I just couldn't believe the size of them- a good 6 inches in diameter! They just made a perfect afternoon out that little more magical :o)
